A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

A founder’s time and work deserve respect.

I’m Olamgir Rajabboev. I’m building Camvi.uz and pivoting it for the US market. FounderAss began as the assistant I needed along the way.

From Uzbekistan to the US market

I’m on this journey too.

Camvi.uz is an inclusive startup growing in Uzbekistan. We use computer vision to help businesses understand and manage their daily operations. I know how much time and attention it takes to build a product, work with a team and serve customers.

I’m now adapting Camvi for the US market. Entering a new market means learning who needs your product, testing your approach and finding suitable partners. I’m working through those decisions myself.

What did I experience as a founder?

When I started looking for investors for my startup, I took on another substantial job. Which funds fit us? What stages do they invest in? What documents do they need? Who have I contacted, who replied and what comes next? Keeping the research and conversations organized became a job in itself.

In some meetings, I felt judged before my work and experience had been understood. That was difficult. I had entered those conversations as an entrepreneur with a product, responsibilities and plans. I want any working relationship to begin with listening and taking the time to understand someone’s work.

That experience made the value of preparation and choice clearer to me. Founders need to see relevant opportunities, understand why they are approaching a particular partner and decide where to spend their time.

03

First for myself. Then for fellow founders.

I first built FounderAss to organize my own work. I wanted investor research, a shortlist, startup information, documents, conversations and next steps in one place. I wanted to stop gathering the same material from scratch for every new approach.

Then I realized other founders were doing the same work while building their products. An assistant that helped me could save them time too. That is why I decided to open FounderAss to the public.

I want to build something useful in a founder’s daily work: a place to see what needs doing today, understand opportunities, prepare for meetings and keep important replies and tasks from getting lost. That leaves more time for the product, team and customers.

I’m still a founder building my own startup. That is the perspective I bring to FounderAss. If something you need is missing, write to me. I want this product to improve through the work real founders do.
